🇨🇿 CZ / Cítíme nutnost reagovat na rasové nepokoje ve Spojených státech trvající od minulého pondělí, kdy byl příslušníkem minneapolské policie zcela absurdně a krutě usmrcen Afroameričan George Floyd. Jako výraz solidarity s afroamerickou komunitou, která je současným děním nejvíc postižena, jsme se rozhodli uspořádat hudební událost. Přijde nám to jako to nejmenší a nejpřirozenější, co můžeme udělat – potkat se, hrát původem černošskou hudbu, připomenout si, že bez nedobrovolných pasažérů otrokářských lodí bychom taneční hudbu tak, jak ji dnes známe, vůbec neměli a především odsoudit vlnu rasismu, se kterou se afroamerická komunita právě teď (a zároveň opakovaně) potýká. Svou účastí dáte najevo, že vám aktuální problémy Afroameričanů v USA nejsou lhostejné.
Peníze vybrané ze vstupného, které bude dobrovolné, věnujeme na podporu lidí a komunit postižených současnými nepokoji nebo systémovým rasismem v USA. Line-up, detailnější podobu finanční pomoci, případně další důležité informace nasdílíme na událost co nejdřív. Díky Rapzzz Place za poskytnutí prostor.
🇬🇧 EN / We feel obliged to react to racial riots currently spread all over the US. They broke out last Monday, the 25th after George Floyd, an Afro-American, was killed by a member of police in Minneapolis in a cruel manner. Another black life unceremoniously stripped away; by a system that structurally supports the violence and discrimination of people of colour.We would not enjoy dance music in the form we know it today if it was not for black culture. We condemn the surge of racism which the Afro-American community needs to face yet again. So we are doing what we know how to do best. Organising an event where we play music that has its roots deeply embedded in black culture. Calling this a celebration or a party does not have a good tone to it. But we cannot stay quiet when our collective sits on a foundation built by black lives. So come, listen to some music that has black roots and show your support.Entry to the event is going to be voluntary giving you a chance to turn your symbolic support into a financial one. All the money we raise will be donated to funds supporting individuals and communities affected by the ongoing riots or systemic racism in the USA.
